In movie news today, Inbetweeners co-creator Iain Morris revealed his plans to write and direct an American version of the series’ spin-off movie. Although feature-length comedies about teenagers on the pull are far from a rarity in Hollywood, Paramount Pictures believe there’s enough water left in that particular well to hand Morris a bucket and set him to work.
The as-yet untitled feature will follow in the footsteps of MTV’s impending small screen treatment of the show, though whether or not both projects will feature the same cast remains anyone’s guess. Elsewhere in Inbetweeners news, the mega-hit original Britflick is due to hit US cinemas on September 7.
